FOOD CONTACT COMPLIANCE

DESCRIPTION:
Epoxy resin stick filled with copper that can be mixed by hand. The mixture obtained in 1 minute is applied on most clean and degreased substrates such as ferrous or non-ferrous metals, aluminium alloys, wood, PVC, Plexiglass... The product comes in the form of a 120-gram stick. Its consistency, comparable to that of a mastic, allows applications without soiling, casting or the use of tools. Resistant to hydrocarbons, ketones, alcohols, esters, salt water, diluted acids and bases. Suitable, after polymerization, for the passage of drinking water (“Intertek Testing” approval and certification N°MA3156/P).

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Storage stability: 6 months minimum at 20°C
SHORE D hardness (after 24H): 80
Tensile strength: 400 Kg / cm2
Operating temperatures: continuous 120°C, intermittent 150°C

INSTRUCTIONS:
In order to ensure optimal adhesion, the surface to be treated must be clean and free of grease and dirt. The use of an abrasive or sandblasting before cleaning considerably helps to ensure a good adhesion surface.
- Cut or tear off the desired quantity of resin.
- Knead by hand until a uniform colour is obtained. If mixing is difficult, reheat to normal room temperature.
- Apply firmly onto the surface to be repaired for two minutes after mixing to allow the product to penetrate into cracks and cavities.
- Scrape off excess material with, preferably, a tool moistened with clean water.
When applying to misted up or wet surfaces, press the product firmly against the surface until adhesion appears. To obtain a beautiful appearance, smooth with wet fingers or with a damp cloth before curing.
- Remove excess resin before curing begins. The product becomes hard as metal after 5 to 10 minutes. After 30 minutes, it has reached its optimal hardness and can be drilled, filed, tapped, sanded, painted... The unused part of the stick remains stable for years if it is protected from direct contact with the air.

USERS / APPLICATION FIELDS:
Can be used in many industrial and domestic repairs such as repairing steel pipes, tanks, tools and equipment, reconstituting nut or screw threads on site, repairing air vents, anchoring fasteners, repairing molds, castings and metal templates, locking screw assemblies, repairing cracks in cast iron, surfacing scratched or deformed parts, repairing gutters, as well as countless other applications.
